Yesterday is History, Present is a gift, Tomorrow is Mystery… That’s the slogan of one of the biggest - if not the biggest - dance festival in western Europe. Wit styles varying from trance to Techno, from Urban to Acid, all musical house-styles are represented. With over 17 stages and several mobile stages moving around, you can say that everyone can find one or more stages that will fit his/her taste.

This year was the 15th edition of this major event, and all the bigger names were on the roll. Big names like DJ Thiësto, Lady Dana, DJ (100%) Isis, David Guetta, Dr. Lektroluv, Erick E, Marco V, Laidback Luke, Roger Sanchez, and many others. No wonder that this event - with 60.000 tickets to sell - was sold out in only a few hours after the ticket office opened. No wonder the 19 Acres were packed and walking from one stage to the other, within reasonable time, was virtually impossible.

F* The Media

The media suggested that with 33 arrests, the event has again proven to be violent, yet only 1 arrest was for violence, a few for opiates (Drugs, Red.), and the rest was for entry without valid ticket… So in terms, let’s go over the figures:

33 out of 60.000 = 0,00055%

I think that this figure shows that - once again - the media tends to blow everything out of proportion, but ain’t we used to that?

Aw well, I had a great day, and took quite a few photo’s. Some photo’s are available to the public.
